SHE

(Gina Marí Lo Monaco)
July 29, 2004
Gina Marí
i used to sit for hours ever morning in the sun with a gargantuan cup of coffee and soak up the sun while listening to my soul. so one day i put it into a song painting the scenes emerging from my coffee cup.
SHE

She sits alone with another cup of contemplation
And she’ll write her dreams down in any other language
But the one that she was born to,
Yeah, she’ll paint a mystery for you if the planets are aligned right
See, she’s working on a vision that requires a remission
Of everything that came before now

And she……..

She starts each day with a mantra of determination
And she kneels and prays for the healing of a generation
But when the words call for action, she gets lost in the distraction
Of everything that lies before her. See, nothing’s quite the way
She planned it, and now she’s trying to understand it
And what her heart is really saying

It says…….

(CHORUS) “I’ve been waiting for this moment to come,
run with me and set my spirit free!
Don’t let it wait until my life has passed me by
Seize the day, let freedom guide the way!”

And she’s sending back every letter that he ever wrote her
And she’ll fly away before he ever gets the chance to answer
cuz she’s working on a vision that requires a remission
Of everything that came before now
And nothing’s quite the way she planned it
now she’s trying to understand it
and what her heart is really saying to her

It says ~

(CHORUS) “I’ve been waiting for this moment to come
Run with me and set my spirit free!
Don’t let it wait until my life has passed me by
Seize the day, let freedom guide the way!”
SHE (Continued)

BREAKDOWN:

And she can taste it on the wind
Something wonderful beginning for her

She sits alone with another cup of contemplation
And she’ll write her dreams down in any other language
But the one that she was born to
Yeah, she’ll paint a mystery for you if the planets are aligned right
See, she’s working on a vision that requires a remission
Of everything that came before now
